For this project, my group of five was tasked with creating a short film using just 8 shots. We had one class period to film everything, then a week to edit. I was the editor, so I had a week to work on the video. While filming, we all worked together on shot compositions, lighting, and brainstorming ideas.
We decided to create a short horror film. During preproduction, we brainstormed ideas, gathered props and equipment, and chose the library as our filming location. In production, we filmed the scenes throughout the library, setting up the necessary equipment for each shot.
In postproduction, I edited the video using CapCut. My goal was to create an eerie, creepy atmosphere, so I applied a blue color grade to achieve that tone. I also found copyright-free music on YouTube and synced it with the shots to enhance the mood. Additionally, I designed a cover photo for the video thumbnail using Illustrator.
